Which shampoo bar should i choose?
Both shampoo bars are included as options in our Complete Curl Routine.
Choose the Clarifying Peppermint Shampoo Bar if you have:
- Wavy or fine hair
- Oily roots
- Product build-up
- Hard water
It gives your hair a deep clean without drying it out.
Choose the Extra Gentle Baobab Shampoo Bar if you have:
- Curly or coily hair
- Dry hair
- Hair that needs extra nourishment
It creates a rich, creamy lather while being especially gentle on drier curls.
How do i use the curl defining custard?
Apply a small amount to clean, wet hair.
For wavy hair, damp hair usually gives the best results. For curly and coily hair, soaking wet hair often works best.
Leave your hair untouched while it dries. Once completely dry, gently scrunch to soften the cast and reveal defined, bouncy curls.
Why does my hair feel crunchy after applying the curl defining custard?
That's completely normal.
The custard creates a light cast while your hair dries. This helps reduce frizz and lock in definition.
Once your hair is fully dry, gently scrunch out the cast to leave soft, natural curls.
Do your products work in hard water?
Yes.
Our Clarifying Peppermint Shampoo Bar was developed to remove hard water minerals and product build-up without stripping your hair. It's one of the reasons it's become one of our most popular products.
How long does a shampoo bar last?
It depends on your hair length and how often you wash it, but most customers get around 30–50 washes from each bar when stored somewhere dry between uses. (This usually means 2-3 months of use).
A draining bar dish like the zig zag bar dish helps them last even longer.
Are your products vegan?
Yes.
Every Bean & Bee product is vegan, cruelty free and palm oil free.
Are your products suitable for children?
Our products are made with gentle ingredients, but because they contain essential oils, we generally recommend them for older children rather than babies or toddlers.
